This type of valve is often used in various chemical applications, as it can be designed in such way that the media is only in contact with the diaphragm and the valve body lining. The valve opens or closes by means of the elastic diaphragm, which is released or pressed, by a linear motion-controlled saddle against the valve body lining (lining is not always present depending on type of valve and application).

There are many types of check valves available. They all serve the purpose of preventing backflow in a piping system. Depending on design parametres like media, flow rate, pressure and pressure drop, different types (like swing, disc, lift or ball etc.) of check valves are chosen. Each type of check valve offers special properties made for for the intended application.

A 90° rotational motion valve, mainly used for start and stop flow. Some types can, depending on their design also be used for throttling. A great benefit of this valve type is that it is very fast to open. A 90° rotation of the disc/handle results in a complete closure or opening of the valve. This valve type normally provides the most cost effective solution, especially for large pipe diametres.

In general, a 90° rotational motion valve that uses a ball or tap shaped disk to stop or start flow. If the valve is opened, the ball/tap rotates to a point where the hole through the ball/tap is in line with the valve body inlet and outlet. If the valve is closed, the ball/tap is rotated until the hole is perpendicular to the flow openings of the valve body and the flow is stopped. There are variants with multiple inlets and outlets for flow distribution.

Linear motion valves, primarily used to start or stop flow when a straight-line flow or minimum flow restriction is desired. Typically, this type of valve is either fully open or fully closed when in service.

Also known as globe valve due to their shape. A stop valve is a linear motion valve. It is commonly used to start, stop and throttle flow in applications where pressure drop is not a limiting factor.

This type of valve is used in order to prevent dangerous over pressure, or to ensure correct pressure levels in various types of systems. This type of valve is often supplied with a calibration certificate and a seal of the adjustment parts. A safety valve is always to be found in e.g. a steam system, as consequences of over pressure can be severe.

A linear motion valve used to stop, start, and regulate the fluid flow. The globe valve disk can be removed entirely from the flow path, or it can completely close the flow path. During opening and closing of globe valve, disc moves perpendicularly to the seat.
